The OIG Library

The VA’s own inspector has documented the system’s failures for decades — in reports almost no family ever reads.

The VA Office of Inspector General investigates the VA from inside: its hospitals, its benefits offices, its contracts, its mailrooms. Its findings are public, detailed, and damning — and they sit in PDFs that most veterans and families never see. This library makes every one of those reports a page a family can use: what the inspector found, who it concerns, why it matters, and the official report itself, linked.

The build starts with the 25 most recent reports and continues through the full backlog — the OIG publishes on the order of 250 reports and products a year, and its archive reaches back decades. Summaries are ours; the reports are the OIG’s.

The first 25 — newest first

More of the backlog is added as the build continues. Every page links the official report at vaoig.gov.
